Inhalt Sometimes it can be difficult to agree on a new joint activity even among friends, no matter how great the initial enthusiasm. Ideas clash, no one gives in and ultimately everyone meets again in the old familiar pub.

If such patterns of communication and organization have become the norm even among close friends, how is it possible to convince diverse teams with different interests, personalities and goals to share a common vision? How can you get everyone on board and not just to cooperate, but to work independently and creatively towards that shared goal? In other words: What does it mean to lead through inspiration and persuasion?

The workshop tackles this topic. Under the guidance of the trainer you delve into the key aspects of transformational leadership communication, with a special focus on developing and communicating a vision, aligning people through networks and collaboration, as well as inspiring and motivating people. You explore and develop the fundamentals of transformational leadership communication in a workshop followed by individual coaching sessions in which the coach will respond to your personal circumstances and give you the tools to follow through in your workplace.
And who knows - with all these new tools and ideas you might even convince your friends to spend an evening somewhere unusual for you.

Learning Objectives:

The participants...
  • ...learn how to develop, communicate and visualize a compelling vision, thereby capturing the imagination of their teams.
  • ...understand how to get people involved and aligned with their vision, building networks and shared commitments.
  • ...discover storytelling techniques to target specific audiences.
  • ...know how to empower their team members, lifting them up and fostering a sense of ownership and motivation.

This workshop will focus on:

  • Developing and communicating visions.
  • Aligning and involving People: Networking, Collaboration and Commitment.
  • Inspiring and motivating people: Storytelling, Targeting and Empowerment.

Methods:
  1. Initial Workshop
    • input about the concept of transformational leadership communication (key aspects, practical use), discussion
  2. Individual Coaching (optional)
    • max. 3 coaching sessions (90min each) per person
    • The individual coaching sessions delve deeper into the topics of the workshop by putting the focus on the specific situation of each participant and allowing them to explore their own way to inspirational leadership with the help of the coach.
The scope of the workshop is 8 work units (1 work unit = 45 min) and can be credited towards the "Successful Leadership at TU Dresden" certificate.
